Planet Legends — Classic Cinema Streaming & Ownership

Casablanca

Every year, thousands of remarkable films disappear into vaults, libraries, and forgotten collections. Planet Legends exists to bring them back to life.

Planet Legends is currently in beta. The films, posters, and trailers shown are representative of the catalog we're building and may change as we secure restoration rights, library acquisitions, and ownership opportunities for each title.

SECTOR 00 · About Planet Legends

Dedicated exclusively to legacy cinema.

Planet Legends focuses on preserving, restoring, celebrating, and unlocking the value of films that already exist.

From silent films to cult classics, international cinema to award-winning masterpieces, Planet Legends connects movie lovers with the stories that shaped our culture. You can just stream — or look to own and earn from a piece of history.

Many of these films are no longer widely available. Some have never been properly rediscovered. Others remain trapped in libraries with untapped potential. We're changing that. Not every film can be owned, but they all can be streamed. Now and forever.

The Projectionist's Pick

Tonight's reel from the booth — what we'd queue up first if you only stayed for one feature.

Romance · Wartime Drama · 1942 · Dir. Michael Curtiz

Casablanca

An exiled American running a nightclub in wartime Morocco is forced to choose between the woman who broke his heart and the cause he stopped believing in. Bogart and Bergman, the most quoted screenplay in Hollywood history, and a final scene that taught the medium how to end. The film we'd thread up first if you only stayed for one feature.

  • The reference 4K restoration — the way it looked in 1942, only sharper
  • Every line you think you know — actually in the script
  • A 102-minute argument that great films simply do not age

How it works

Owning a piece of cinema history, in four steps.

Planet Legends is part streaming home, part preservation engine — restoring forgotten masterpieces and offering film lovers a chance to participate in the films themselves, not just buy a copy.

01

Browse the collections

Explore the ten lanes — Silent, Golden Age, Forgotten, Cult, International, Western, Horror, Sci-Fi, Documentary, and Independent Legends. Watch the trailer, read the dossier, see exactly which titles offer ownership.

02

Take your stake

Where ownership is offered, back a single legacy title or spread your stake across several. Minimums start at $25 — you choose how big a piece of cinema history you own.

03

We do the preservation work

An SEC-compliant funding portal handles the offering, escrow, and reporting. Capital goes toward restoration, rights clearance, and re-introducing the film to modern audiences.

04

Earn from every screening

Restored titles stream on Planet Legends and across licensing partners. Owners receive revenue share, member perks, and quarterly statements as each film finds its second audience.

SECTOR 02 · Own A Piece Of Cinema History

Own a piece of cinema history.

Planet Legends does not finance new productions. It supports the preservation and revitalization of existing films.

Selected titles in the catalog may offer ownership opportunities that allow film lovers to participate in preserving and celebrating cinema history.

For generations, audiences could only buy a copy of a movie.

The future allows fans to participate in the films themselves.

SECTOR 03 · Legends Reborn

Restored & remastered.

Many important films have deteriorated over time. Planet Legends works to help preserve, restore, and reintroduce these stories to modern audiences — in the resolution and presentation their makers always intended.
